Location

Set a bit out of the way on the southern side of Lake Placid, adjacent to the Chubb River, this little home gives you more privacy than an in-town hotel, but it does mean that there is less around to access. You will need to connect to the main thoroughfares to get to a decent restaurant or shop. A car is important to access town or the ski resort.

• Distance to Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort ski access: 11 miles
• Within walking distance: Depending on how ambitious you are, you could reach a corner store or liquor shop, but little else
• Transportation: Bring a car if you intend to go into town or to the resort. There is no transportation option here
